Mary Ann Lukens, 85, of Gladstone, Illinois died Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home.

Born July 9, 1936 in Carman, Illinois she was the daughter of Ovid and Helen (Larkins) Polson. She married William Lukens on December 4, 1955.

She was a 1954 graduate of G and O High School.

Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed researching genealogy, quilting and tine spent with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her husband William Lukens of Gladstone, Illinois; three daughters, Donna (Thomas) Adolph of Gladstone, Illinois and Ann Zart and Jody (John) Gustafson both of Burlington; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Paul Polson of Burlington, Lois Polson of Danville and Jack Polson of Gladstone, Illinois; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.

A graveside service and inurnment will be held in Carman Cemetery at 1:00 pm Monday, January 17, 2022. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel
