Jerome Joseph Grenwalt, 83, passed away January 16, 2022 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Born to Felix and Esther (Kalinowski) Grenwalt on February, 10, 1938 in Eddyville, Nebraska.
Jerome married his true love Barbara Preston in Oconto, Nebraska on October 4, 1958. They shared 63 years of love and laughter. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, and various Knights of Columbus activities. Favorite pastime was traveling the country with Barb and spending time with his family. Jerome had a true heart for his faith and community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 43 years in Colorado and Arizona and held many offices including Faithful Navigator for the Fourth Degree Knights. Jerome’s smile and laughter lit a room and had a way to sharing inner joy with everyone around him. Jerome worked in drywall construction for 60 some years until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Esther Grenwalt and his brother Eymard Grenwalt. Jerome is survived by his beautiful and loving wife of 63 years Barbara, of Lake Havasu City. One sister, Grace Mills and one sister in-law Bonnie Grenwalt, his five children, Christine Grenwalt-Cleere (James), Michael Grenwalt (Annie), Tamara Pittman (John), David Grenwalt, and Michelle Bourek, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews and a lot of friends.
Donations can be made in his memory to Beacon of Hope Hospice of Arizona in Lake Havasu City, Arizona or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Jerome’s service is January 28,2022 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1975 Daytona Avenue, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Rosary set for 12:00, with a funeral mass to follow at 12:30. Reception following the mass in Holy Family Parish Center.
Service is placed in care of Dignity Funeral Home in Parker, Arizona.
